Frequently asked questions.
A few of the things leaders and teams ask us most. Don’t see your question here? Reach out — we’re happy to talk it through.
Who do you work with?
We work with leaders, teams, and organizations committed to social change. We serve middle, senior, and executive-level leaders at nonprofits, advocacy organizations, foundations, and mission-driven enterprises navigating growth, transition, or complexity. Our clients share a commitment to impact and intentional leadership in complex environments.
But do I really need coaching, though?
Coaching develops emotional intelligence, clarity of purpose, and leadership capacity. Research shows 80% of coached leaders report higher self-confidence, and 70% demonstrate measurable improvements in communication, relationships, and performance. Relevant topics include interpersonal tension, meeting effectiveness, goal setting, stress management, stakeholder communication, and feedback skills.
How do we know if WBT is the right fit for us?
We’re a good fit for leaders seeking sustainable growth rather than quick fixes. We work best with clients navigating complexity or change, strengthening leadership capacity beyond a single problem, who value both strategy and human insight, and who embrace reflection and honest conversation. We’re not the right fit for those seeking rigid formulas or off-the-shelf training.
Do you work with individuals, teams, or entire organizations?
All of the above. We offer individual leadership coaching for directors and emerging leaders, team coaching for alignment and communication, and organization-wide engagements supporting development across multiple levels of a system. Each engagement is customized to context.
What sets you apart from other coaches and leadership programs?
We blend strategy, systems thinking, and human awareness in grounded, practical ways. Our distinctive approach involves listening first, working directly with power and culture, holding both organizational and individual realities, and remaining candid yet supportive during uncertainty.
What kinds of outcomes do clients typically experience?
Common outcomes include greater leadership clarity and confidence, stronger team alignment and trust, more effective communication and decision-making, increased capacity for navigating complexity, and renewed purpose. ICF research shows 80% report increased self-confidence, 70% improve work performance and relationships, and 86% of organizations report positive ROI.
What can you expect from working with us?
A partnership that is thoughtful, intentional, and results-oriented. The work includes deep listening to your context, clear frameworks that provide perspective, honest feedback delivered with care, space for reflection, and practical tools for sustained use.
How long do engagements usually last?
Engagements vary based on goals and scope. Some clients work through a defined session series over months, while others partner with us longer for ongoing development. We customize timelines rather than prescribing fixed durations.
Do you work virtually, in person, or both?
We work both virtually and in person. Most coaching happens virtually, sometimes with movement encouraged. Team retreats are more impactful in person, as is strategy work and transition navigation. We’ll recommend the approach that best matches your goals and your participants’ needs.
What’s your pricing model?
Our pricing is engagement-based, not one-size-fits-all — it depends on the type of work, scope, duration, and preparation involved. Coaching ranges from $150 to $300 per session. Facilitation ranges from $2,000/day for a small group session in NY or Denver to $10,000/day for a retreat or team facilitation. Reach out for specific pricing.
How do we get started?
It begins with a conversation. We typically start with a chemistry call to explore your goals, context, and challenges, then propose an aligned approach.
What do you expect from your clients?
We ask clients to engage with openness, curiosity, and shared responsibility — to be willing to show up honestly during uncomfortable conversations, reflect on leadership habits, participate actively, and apply insights between sessions.
What if I have to cancel or reschedule a session?
We ask for at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. Sessions canceled with less notice may incur a charge, except in emergencies. We aim for flexibility while respecting everyone’s time.
What professional standards do you adhere to?
Both of us hold ICF certification (PCC / Level 2). We adhere to the ICF Code of Ethics and build confidential, professional relationships aimed at building confidence and encouraging action.
